The
International Atherosclerosis Society (IAS) is committed to working with
other organizations with like purpose to promote improved understanding and
education of prevention and treatment of atherosclerotic diseases and other
forms of cardiovascular disease. To achieve this aim, the IAS agrees to affiliate
with other organizations and to work with them. This document describes the
conditions of the affiliation agreement with the International Task Force for
Prevention of Coronary Heart Disease.
The IAS will consider participating in specific projects with your organization.
The International Task Force for Prevention of Coronary Heart Disease may propose
a joint action that will be considered by the Executive Committee of the IAS.
The proposal should be made in writing to the President of the IAS. The IAS President
will review the proposal with the IAS Executive Committee, and if approved, the
President will communicate this approval to the chief officer of your organization.

IAS on any document other than that listed in the specific proposal. All materials
bearing the logo or name of the IAS must be approved by the executive committee of
the IAS prior to distribution. The affiliation agreement does not bind the IAS to
participate in any joint activity between our two organizations other than that
outlined in the proposal. The affiliation agreement does not bind the IAS to any
financial commitments to the specific project nor to the International Task Force
for Prevention of Coronary Heart Disease, unless otherwise agreed upon by both
parties.
